A Google Wave of Hype…, & disillusionment?

Everyone is scouring the web for the next big thing, that new new that will crush and replace all that has come before it. Yet this is not the world we live in. That type of thinking is left-over from the Industrial Age. We are now in the Information Age, where the uber-long tail is useful from an innovation standpoint. Nothing has to get replaced, but innovation needs to be freed.
